Winter 2010 Record Temperatures


It's official.  The paper today posted the record-breaking temperatures for the Treasure Coast region.



Broken Daily Weather Records:
  • January 3: set new record for lowest high temperature of 53, breaking the old record of 57 set in 2008.
  • January 5: Tied the record for lowest high temperature of 55 degrees set in 1999.
  • January 6: Set new record low temperature of 28, breaking the old record of 32 set in 1999.
  • January 7: Set new record low temperature of 29 breaking the record of 32 set in 2001.



Highs and Lows:
Jan. 3 - 53 / 34

Jan. 4 - 58 / 33
Jan. 5 - 52 / 31
Jan. 6 - 55 / 28
Jan. 7 - 60 / 29
Jan. 8 - 73 / 32
Jan 9 - 50 / 32
Jan 10 - 49 / 31

Jan. 11 - 59 / 32
Jan. 12 - 61 / 31

Now that the temperatures have risen and the sun is shining brightly, hopefully Florida's nasty winter is over and we can get on to our wonderfully pleasant winter!

The cold really took its toll on our garden. I haven't seen many anoles or frogs either. Sad...

We always get a cold day or two, but this was just nuts. I felt like I was back in Indiana!

Awww, I feel sorry for that poor orangutan! This was a horrid winter! (If you can call a 2-week winter horrid.) At least it only hit 28 degrees in your area. It is really a sad state of things here. All of my nectar plants are destroyed!

Amen! I love the palm tree photo...it makes me feel warmer. Those records are really something. Hopefully the rest of the winter will be a little warmer. :-)
