Garden Decor

Now that the frosty nights are a thing of the past for Floridian gardeners (knock on wood), and the frost damage has been painstakingly removed from each individual plant, it's time to wait for the garden to gather itself and look it's best again.  Although some plants are still cheerfully blooming (thank God!), much of the garden looks bland and bare.

What a great time to discover the amazing decor that may otherwise gets lost in the colorful blooms and lush foliage!

This is a favorite of mine...a wine cork bird house that my husband made for me.

And here's a ceramic frog that I purchased at a garage sale (I think it was made to hold a sponge next to the sink, but I like him better poolside with a mouthful of baby succulents).

Of course, my husband's warped sense of humor is displayed on our fence row.

And here's another bird house that my son and I made without measuring...!

We paint everything...why not?  These pavers make up my Grapevine Getaway behind the shed.

This blue crab decorates the side of my ugly shed.

Here's a monkey keeping watch over his garden.

And this pretty red orb draws the eye and adds a splash of color.

This wall vase is the perfect accent for the vine design on this wall.

I LOVE the stained glass on the side of this house...what a pretty accent piece!

I found this fun craft at cinydyer.wordpress.com

And these sweet bowling ball ladybugs at gardenblog.projo.com/2008/04/bowling-ball-ga.html

Here's a cool garden spiral

And one of my favorite garden decorations...this welcoming seahorse!

What's in your garden? Or your neighbors?  I think it's time to get creative!  Let your decor make a statement about who you are and your personal garden style!
